Dr. Niemeyer currently holds the position of Associate Program Director within the Division of Interventional Radiology at UI Health – University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. He pursued his medical education at reputable institutions, including Northwestern University – The Feinberg School of Medicine, where he completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Dr. Niemeyer undertook his Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, spanning from 2010 to 2014. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he dedicated his studies from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Niemeyer’s educational journey commenced with a Bachelor of Science and Engineering (B.S.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, which he achieved from 2000 to 2004. With his expertise and diverse academic background, Dr. Matthew Niemeyer contributes significantly to the field of Interventional Radiology at UI Health, spearheading impactful programs and initiatives.
