Steve Baggott spent 32 years with Procter & Gamble, serving in various roles in marketing and business development in the U.S. and Western Europe. As such he has deep expertise in business strategy, consumer and customer communications, and general management. He was instrumental in forging dozens of successful collaborations with outside entities, developing, negotiating, and supervising agreements that supported over $2 billion in retail sales. In addition, Mr. Baggott was an instrumental early leader of P&G’s open innovation “Connect+Develop” program, which is seen as a benchmark in building win-win collaborative partnerships.
Upon retiring from P&G, Mr. Baggott started his own consulting firm, Strategic Growth Ventures LLC. Designed to help foster innovation and business collaborations, he has advised start-ups to large companies on how to build sustainable strategies, plans, and partnerships. Also, he has been actively involved in coaching, advising, and investing in start-ups in the Cincinnati region and beyond. He works at the national level with the Angel Capital Association and is a noted trainer on angel investing. As a member of Queen City Angels, he has invested in nearly 40 companies, in industries including medical devices, life sciences, financial technology, digital marketing, and many more.
